In addition to just showing the light, Oura also lets you know if you need to adjust the flow. If the green light is flashing, you need to increase the flow rate; if the green light is blinking, you need to decrease the flow rate. It also gives you audio cues when the next or current pour is about to start/end, so you're never left in the dark (pun intended).
At the end of a brew, Oura records a timeline in the app detailing your pour patterns, accuracy, and timing — it even gives you a score afterward. You can choose to brew using the app (which gives you more data), or you can just brew using the scale.
There are three preset recipes built into the scale, which is great if you’re just getting started, but you can also add three of your own recipes through the Pourx app. Sharing them with your friends is simple, Oura creates a QR code and your friends can quickly upload it to the app and vice versa.
